  • Good artwork, but I think that was a little bit much, especially considering his son was married the whole devouring thing.

I think this is one of those times where the vore taking place isn’t really deadly. They’ll regurgitate them out eventually somehow in some way- it’s mostly about the power dynamic as well as the physical absorption.

At least that’s how I’m understanding it- if anyone has any contrary opinions feel free to speak up I’m not the vore expert.

There's a lack of the more traditional stomach noise sfx that accompanies it, but this is giving me very fatal vibes.

  • I know its porn and all, and that not every pieces is meant for everyone,
    but like
fatal vore is such a worldbuilding issue for me??
You eat your partner...and now they're dead :|
Is this common? How many people die to vore each year?
Are there investigations? Does it count as murder?
What if you start to miss the person you ate?? You can't get them back!!

Probably why stuff like this has the “story” end as soon as it starts. With other stuff like mpreg, you rarely actually see the pregnant guy give birth or whatever because the main part of the fetish is knowing he’s pregnant. Likewise, I would assume it’s the same. The thought of it in the heat of the moment, not really the long term consequences.

I like that this is a question about a kink with the genuine intention to understand it. As someone with the fatal vore kink, the way that it's usually explained in-universe is that all furry worlds take place in a Zootopia type universe where the predator species developed some sort of undefined technology that let them become herbivores or they are eating synthetic meat instead. The "before" times are imagined as a slavery and civil war times where predator species are wanting to eat prey species and prey species are fighting for their survival. Those are called the savage times. In the civilization times predators that still eat sentient prey species is seen as very taboo and a murder against a person. It's usually imagined as a predator going against the grain and their predator "instincts" awakened and kicking in and the pred is breaking laws to sort of make it make sense worldbuilding wise. Because like you said mathematically it all doesn't add up. So it's more of a serial killer type situation in this universe. At least as someone with the kink that's how I see it imagined as in fiction writings and stuff.

Otherwise the story just kind of ends as soon as it starts just like another person said. Because we just wanna imagine ourselves getting consumed by our dads~
We're not really imagining the dad being arrested after that which is what realistically would happen. And we understand that's the end of the fun too usually. So the characters always come back like they have lives like video game characters.

That's why you shouldn't be too disturbed by all this. This is all like a video game in our heads where characters respawn and come back to life. *shrug*

  • As other users said, reformation makes vore completely safe, while making fatal vore taboo in your world can also solve the worldbuilding aspects by making it rare and criminal. Both of these are common solutions.

But since those are very easy solutions, they're not always that satisfying. Some writers (like Jivanman on FA or LoveHandles on Aryion) often go the opposite route, and try to create worlds where fatal vore makes sense as a casual/accepted activity, because of social conditioning plus maybe some innate differences between pred and prey (preds have to eat, prey can't help but want it, society is aware of this etc.) which turns vore into something like sex, similar to this pic. Prey characters find vore hot despite the danger, and the appeal of the stories comes from the character eventually giving in to their desire, or society pushing them toward it. To write that kind of story, you do have to bite the worldbuilding bullet that the society you're writing about is much more callous/casual about death than ours, but that's already part of the appeal of fatal vore in these stories, so it's not really an issue. It's also the angle Dramamine seems to take in their art usually.

And in such stories... "Is this common?" Yeah. "How many people die to vore each year?" Depends. If your world is, say, 90% prey 10% preds, and maybe two thirds of prey get eaten in their lifetime, then that's 60% of the population per lifetime, so like 1% a year? That's actually not far from the average death rate irl, it's just that you're moving all those deaths from old age to being spread out over the entire adult lifespan. So from a worldbuilding perspective, people are probably having more kids earlier for the math to work. "Are there investigations?" No. "Does it count as murder?" No, it's probably seen as a normal activity similar to sex or food, or a hybrid of such. "What if you start to miss the person you ate?? You can't get them back!!" When you met them, you presumably knew from the start that they were prey, so your relationship was built with the understanding that this will happen eventually. You also live in a world where this is completely normal. The combination of those two things makes you unlikely to miss them as you would in our world. They're food.

As for why? Much like all the permanent hypno/dronification stuff (which is also popular on this site), I think the perma aspect makes the stories much more intense for the reader without any real consequence to themselves (since it's still fantasy and the reader remains safe). It's kind of like how a video game battle with actual stakes feels much more intense than a practice/tutorial battle even if the mechanics are the same; getting into the fantasy makes it more intense without any consequence for the player.

This ended up being a way longer response than I intended, but I hope it's of some use! I'm happy to answer more questions if you need.
