Last Friday, after a hectic media campaign, Hogwarts Legacy finally landed on PC and the latest consoles from Sony and Microsoft, the PS5 and Xbox series. Yes, communication surrounding the game was complicated, in part because JK Rowling’s comments sparked dissatisfaction with part of the Harry Potter community, who decided to boycott the game.

Beyond a boycott of the game, the beginnings of a boycott were set in motion by streamers who have chosen to broadcast their games on Twitch.. However, the creation of the “havetheystreamedthatwizardgame” page didn’t really meet with unanimous approval and once again divided Twitter users who expressed gratitude for this initiative or their despair at such action.

However, this further controversy did not last long. Under fire from critics, the site didn’t last more than a day. In response to his tweet, which kept growing – it was seen by over 14 million users! -, Sam Gibbs was amused by the situation, announcing that it might be time to shut down the site. And that’s what happened! On February 7th, less than 24 hours after the site was launched, havetheystreamedthatwizardgame closed its doors.. Now the page shows the following message “ This website has been blocked by its owner ‘, and Sam Gibbs has not commented on the subject since.
