Anna and Maya

Anna was born on the 6th of january and was the 4th oldest in our class, Maya on the other hand had failed once before and was a year older than everyone. Both of them were good friends till the new law was passed. They knew that they would be competing and dominating or competing and submitting. In reality, they should have been happy because the others didn't even get a chance.

The election was sceduled for the 17th of january and the hype was immense. There were 53 teachers who decided to vote, an average number in comparision to other votes. Many of the teachers had gradually distanced themselves because of the controversy sorrounding these elections.

In the morning of the 18th of january, the votes were counted and the winner was announced. 27 to 26 votes in favour of Anna. From this point onwards, my life changed forever. I saw what was being done to my classmates for 2 months before I turned 18 and I was horrified. The treatment some of her 'friends' recieved pailed in comparision to others. And 2,5 months after the elections, it was time to submit myself.
